Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response touches upon the main parts of the prompt, but it does so only minimally, keeping your ideas very brief. For instance, you mention that you enjoyed the course because of the price and the polite teacher, which covers the first bullet point, but this point and your other ideas are largely under-developed. You state how much cooking you have done since the course by saying you 'own make my food and serve my family', and you suggest a future course by recommending it to family and friends rather than suggesting a new course for the school to offer. Overall, the ideas are presented in a very basic way with limited expansion, restricting the development of your message.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The information and ideas in your letter are not arranged coherently overall, making the progression of your thoughts difficult to follow at times. Paragraphing is not used properly; the text is broken into separate lines and awkward groupings rather than logical paragraphs that separate your different points, such as what you enjoyed, how much you cook now, and your course suggestion. Furthermore, basic cohesive devices are either missing or inaccurate, and referencing words like 'they' and 'this' are sometimes unclear in their meaning, creating choppy transitions between your sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a very basic and repetitive vocabulary to communicate your thoughts, relying on simple everyday words and phrases. There are also noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling throughout your writing, such as 'cheapest', 'politily', 'hole' instead of whole, 'unnecccery', and 'cource'. These lexical errors and the repetitive choice of words sometimes strain the reader and obscure your intended meaning, demonstrating a restricted vocabulary range suited for communicating only the most basic concepts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Your writing displays a very limited range of sentence structures, consisting mostly of simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, such as missing auxiliary verbs in 'I hope you doing well' and 'before the course i can not do anything', incorrect verb tenses, and problems with articles and subject-verb agreement like 'lots of person join'. These frequent errors create considerable strain for the reader and frequently distort the meaning of your sentences.
