Dear Sir or Madam,
I am waritingto provide feedback of this crookery course i recently attended at your school.
overall, i thoroghly enjoyed the crookery course, particulary the prectice sessions. this instucture is really knowledgeable , friendly and patient as well as explained each and every recipe and steps in a clear way. i espaciallly learning how to prepare diffenrent kind of souces and the traditional desserts, as i had very little experience befor joinning this class. the small size of class alwyas allows to us to recive the another individuals giudance when needed.
Since compleatting this course , i have been cooking much more frequently at home. i now prepare meals around four or five times a week , and i have already tried several of the recipes i learned during the course. My family has also enjoyed tasting my new dishes, which has encouraged me to experiment with different ingeridents.
i would also like to suggest tat the school offer a course on international cuisine, covering popular dishes from countries such as italy ,Thailand, Maxico and India. i believe this would be an interesting way for students to learn new cooking techniques and explore diffenrent flavours.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 8.0
The response covers all parts of the task well, providing a fully developed account of what was enjoyed during the cookery course, the frequency of cooking since completion, and a clear suggestion for a new international cuisine course. The tone is appropriately polite and formal for a letter to a course director. All three bullet points from the prompt are thoroughly addressed and extended with relevant details, such as the specific focus on sauces, traditional desserts, and the small class size, as well as concrete meal preparation habits. Ideas are well-managed and fit the required genre effectively, demonstrating a strong understanding of the communicative purpose.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.5
The letter exhibits clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Information is grouped sensibly into paragraphs, starting with an introduction and purpose, followed by the positive aspects of the course, subsequent cooking habits at home, a suggestion for a future course, and a polite sign-off. Cohesive devices are used effectively to connect ideas, such as "Since compleatting this course" and "I would also like to suggest," ensuring a smooth flow of information. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, guiding the reader logically through each part of the prompt without noticeable disruption.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary demonstrates an adequate range for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their experiences and suggestions clearly. There are attempts to use less common items and subject-specific vocabulary, such as "knowledgeable," "experiment," and "techniques." However, lexical control is hindered by frequent spelling errors, such as "waritingto," "crookery," "thoroghly," "prectice," "espaciallly," "diffenrent," "souces," "befr," "joinning," "alwyas," "recive," "compleatting," "ingeridents," "tat," and "Maxico." While these errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score because accurate spelling and word forms are necessary to reach higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, incorporating relative clauses and subordinate structures like "as I had very little experience" and "which has encouraged me." However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are several structural and grammatical errors, including missing articles ("in class"), incorrect capitalization and punctuation ("overall, i thoroghly..."), subject-verb agreement issues ("this instucture is... as well as explained"), and awkward phrasing like "allows to us to recive the another individuals giudance." These persistent errors in grammar and punctuation mean that error-free sentences are not frequent enough to achieve a higher band.
