Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The letter is relevant and gives a positive impression of the course, mentioning that the trainer was helpful and that you learned to cook “almost seven” items. However, the task is only minimally addressed: you do not explain how much cooking you have done since the course, and “add one or two more course” does not clearly identify the type of course you would like. The feedback itself is also very brief and lacks supporting detail. The response contains 90 words, so it is 60 words below the required minimum of 150. To address the task more fully, describe a dish you have cooked at home and how often, then suggest a specific course, such as baking or vegetarian cooking, with a reason.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic letter shape, with an opening, a paragraph about the course, and a closing. The ideas are generally related to the purpose, and the reader can identify your positive opinion. However, the progression is limited: the letter moves from the trainer to the number of items learned and then to a vague course suggestion, without clearly covering each requested point. Several sentences are placed together without clear paragraphing, and punctuation spacing makes the message harder to follow. Organise the letter into short paragraphs—course experience, cooking since the course, and a future course—and use simple links such as “Since then” and “In addition” to guide the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “cookery course,” “trainer,” “helpful,” and “team,” and the positive tone is understandable. However, the range is narrow, and spelling and word-choice errors often make the message difficult to interpret, as in “fitback,” “teace,” “eassly,” and “dadecation persin.” Some expressions are also unclear or unnatural, particularly “I want to some feedback in this course” and “added one or two more couere.” Choose familiar, accurate phrases rather than attempting unclear wording: for example, “give feedback on the course” and “offer a course in baking.” Proofreading spelling and using precise cooking-related vocabulary would make your meaning more reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The letter mainly uses short, simple statements, such as “I enjoyed this course very much” and “I learn almost seven item cookery in your school.” There is an attempt to give a reason with “because,” but sentence structures remain limited and several grammatical patterns are inaccurate. For example, “I wish you are well” needs a different verb form, “I want to some feedback” is missing a grammatical structure, and “I learn” does not use the appropriate tense for a completed course. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and punctuation, including the run-on spacing in “well.I.” Practise accurate past-tense sentences and basic patterns such as “I would like to give feedback” and “I have cooked several dishes since the course.”
