Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you describe the instructor’s support, explain that you have cooked at home since the course, and suggest a baking course. The reader can understand your positive overall response, especially in “I have prepared food at home for everyday” and your request for a future course. However, some ideas are less fully developed or unclear. For example, the comment about your junior respecting you does not clearly explain what you enjoyed, and the baking suggestion would be stronger if you specified a type, such as bread-making or cake decoration. The letter has an appropriate purpose and closing, but use the requested opening, “Dear Sir or Madam,” and make the feedback more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement: you begin with the purpose, discuss the course, describe your cooking afterwards, and then make a suggestion. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and phrases such as “First of all” and “Since” signal progression. This meets the lower-band expectation of an organised response and shows some features of stronger progression. However, linking is sometimes mechanical or unclear: “Therefore” repeats the positive point rather than showing a clear result, while “I share meals my family members we enjoyed” makes the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. Improve cohesion by using clear sentence boundaries and pronouns, and connect each paragraph’s details directly to its main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “instructor,” “prepared food,” “rice,” “vegetables,” “curry,” and “baking.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and word-form errors make parts of the letter difficult to interpret. For instance, “the instructor are friendly, help and experiences” does not express the intended qualities clearly, and “offer adviced baking” is not a natural way to request a course. Repetition of “enjoyed” also limits variety. Build a bank of accurate cookery and feedback phrases, such as “patient and knowledgeable instructor,” “practised the recipes at home,” and “a baking course,” then check spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional sentence beginning “If i am not understand…” and a sentence explaining what you have cooked since the course. This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but control is limited: attempts at longer structures are often faulty, and errors can make the reader work to understand the message. Examples include “the instructor are,” “I get this mistakes,” and “I share meals my family members we enjoyed.” Verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries need attention. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clear subordinate clause, and check each sentence for a subject, a correctly formed verb, and appropriate punctuation.
