Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you describe enjoying the teaching and activities, explain that you have cooked for birthdays and parties and received cake orders, and suggest a course in drinks. These details make the letter relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your experience. The enjoyment section is the most developed, with specific references to patient teaching and competitions. However, the amount of cooking since the course is not very precise, and the proposed drinks course would be clearer if you named a particular subject, such as mocktails or coffee-making, and explained why it would interest you. The opening and closing also need a more appropriate formal tone for a letter to a course director.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The ideas follow a generally sensible order: you begin with your overall impression, describe what you enjoyed, then discuss cooking since the course and make a suggestion. Connectors such as “Moreover” and “Apart from that” help signal the shifts. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the separate points are not easy to scan. Some links feel mechanical, and the transition from course feedback to your cooking activities could be smoother. Use distinct paragraphs for your enjoyment, subsequent cooking, and course suggestion, and connect them with natural phrases such as “Since completing the course” or “Looking ahead.” This would make the progression clearer and reduce the impression of a continuous list.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of expressive vocabulary, including “culinary skill,” “competitions,” and “financially,” and the reader can understand the main message. However, several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “bundle of education,” “ocean of knowledge,” and “stand financially well.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “teachera,” “pasteries,” and “deserts,” also reduce precision. The informal “kitty parties” and “Hi” are not ideal for this formal letter. Aim for natural collocations and accurate spelling rather than elaborate expressions: for example, say “a great deal of practical knowledge” and “earn extra income.” A more precise description of the course you want would also demonstrate stronger vocabulary control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate the main ideas, and you attempt to combine information in longer sentences, for example when describing the cooking you have done since the course. However, sentence control is uneven, and several errors make the writing less polished. Examples include “it was a great experience with…” followed by an incomplete or unclear construction, “the great part was they make learn,” and “it will be greatful for me if i will join.” These show problems with clause structure, verb forms, and conditional patterns. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in lowercase “i” and spaces before full stops. Practise accurate patterns such as “I have cooked…” and “I would be grateful if I could enrol…” while keeping some sentences short and clear.
