Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope you're doing great. I am providing feedback regarding the cusine course on salad which I successfully completed last week at Martin street.
I really had fun while doing this course. The course structure was well defined which consisted small training sessions every hour. This made me less tired and I could easily understand what trainer was teaching us. The trainer taught us various styles to cut and recipies through which we were able to prepare certain salad options and that was hardly known ever.
It's been a week since i got hands on salad preparation. Well, I have prepared different varieties of salad items. For instance, Italian salad bowl which consists of high fiber vegetables and work really well for those who does some kind of physical activity. Moreover, I am able to style and present the salad in different shapes and sizes which enchanced the looks on how people will perceive it.
Furthermore, I am looking for another course which I believe should be related to the former course and school would offer me with some discount. I look forward to hear from you.
Yours sincerely,
Sahil rajput.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you describe the course positively, explain that you have made salads since completing it, and mention wanting another course. The details about short training sessions and learning to cut and present salads make the feedback relevant. However, the amount of cooking is not fully clear: “I have prepared different varieties” gives examples but does not say how often you have cooked during the week. The final suggestion is also under-developed; saying the next course should be “related to the former course” does not identify a specific subject. Name a course, such as vegetable carving or healthy meal preparation, and explain briefly why you would take it. The request for a discount is not a substitute for this suggestion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: an opening, a paragraph about the course, a paragraph about cooking afterwards, and a closing suggestion. This makes the main points easy to locate. You also use linking expressions such as “For instance” and “Moreover” to connect examples. To make the progression more natural, ensure each paragraph develops one task point fully; the final paragraph moves quickly from a vague course request to a discount and then the closing. Some connections are mechanical, and “that” in “that was hardly known ever” has an unclear reference. Replace it with a precise noun or rewrite the sentence so the reader can follow exactly what was new. A more specific final paragraph would strengthen the letter’s flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “course structure,” “training sessions,” “varieties,” and “present,” which helps communicate your experience. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “high fiber vegetables.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “course on salad,” “styles to cut,” and “that was hardly known ever” do not sound natural in this context. Spelling errors such as “cusine,” “recipies,” and “enchanced” also reduce accuracy. Choose familiar, precise expressions rather than forcing unusual phrasing—for example, describe learning “different cutting techniques” and “new salad recipes.” Proofreading spelling and checking common word combinations would make your vocabulary more reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which consisted small training sessions” and a sentence beginning “Moreover.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “which consisted small training sessions” needs “consisted of,” while “those who does” has a subject–verb agreement error and should be “those who do.” In “I look forward to hear from you,” the verb pattern should be “look forward to hearing.” There are also inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation choices, such as lowercase “i.” Review verb patterns, agreement, and sentence boundaries, then proofread carefully. More accurate control of these structures would make your varied sentences clearer.
