Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to give you my feedback on the cookery course which I did from your school.

After completing this course now i am able to make any curry dish. Moreover, i made the butter chicken first time after eating that chicken my relatives wants to join their son in your school. They praised me as well that now you are the good cook. In addition, they said me that you are now ready to do the chief job

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you praise the teachers and the time given to each student, describe making butter chicken and other curry dishes after the course, and suggest courses in cakes, pancakes, and bakery items. The letter’s purpose is clear and the tone is generally appropriate. The enjoyment point is supported with relevant details, but the amount of cooking you have done is less precise: “I made the butter chicken first time” gives one example without explaining how often or what else you have cooked. The proposed course is also somewhat broad, as cakes, pancakes, and bakery items are not clearly distinguished. Develop these points with a specific frequency and a focused course idea.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall structure: an opening purpose, paragraphs about the course and your cooking afterwards, a suggestion, and a polite closing. This makes the message easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “If,” showing some flexibility in connecting ideas. However, several transitions feel mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated “I am writing this” and the repeated reference to starting a new course in the final paragraphs. Some references are also unclear: “they” in “they have great experience” and “their son” require the reader to infer who is meant. To strengthen progression, give each paragraph one clear focus and use more precise references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “professional teachers,” “butter chicken,” “relatives,” and “bakery items.” The course-related vocabulary is appropriate, and the reader can understand your overall message. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations sound unnatural, such as “did from your school,” “give proper time,” and “do the chief job.” There are also spelling and form issues, including “pan cakes” and “chief” where the intended cooking profession is likely meant. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling: for example, describe the course as one you “took,” and say that instructors “gave each student individual attention.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “so,” and “if,” and the main message remains understandable. However, control is uneven, especially in longer sentences. For example, “I am writing this to tell you, I am so glad…” joins clauses incorrectly, while “After completing this course now i am able…” has an awkward opening and missing punctuation. Verb forms and agreement also need attention in “my relatives wants” and “They give proper time,” where the surrounding account is in the past. Capitalisation of “I” is inconsistent, and the closing conditional “if you will be going to start” is not formed naturally. Use shorter, clearly punctuated sentences and check tense and subject–verb agreement.
