Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main topics: you describe the teachers and your interest in food safety, mention working in the school kitchen after the course, and suggest a commercial cookery course. However, the letter does not clearly explain what you particularly enjoyed, and the account of how much cooking you have done is confusing: “i give my 1 year in this school” and “i work in cookery school kitchen” do not specify the amount or frequency of cooking. The proposed course is relevant, but its appeal is only briefly explained. The purpose is partly clear, yet the reader needs more specific, developed information about each point and a clearer statement of your feedback.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some organisation: the response moves from the course experience to what happened afterwards and then to a suggested course. These sections show an attempt to cover the different parts of the task. However, the ideas within each paragraph are often crowded together, and the progression is difficult to follow. For example, the first paragraph shifts from course choices to your personal interest and then to the teachers without clear links. Connectors such as “In the journey” are repeated or used awkwardly, while several sentences run together without full stops. Use separate, focused paragraphs and straightforward links such as “What I enjoyed most was…” and “Since completing the course…” to make the sequence clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to cookery and the course, including “food safety,” “hygiene,” “kitchen,” and “hotel operations,” so the reader can identify the subject of your letter. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “give my 1 year in this school,” “serveing my services,” and “in happy mood.” Spelling errors, including “successfull,” “experince,” and “intereted,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural phrases that describe your experience precisely, such as “I spent a year at the school” and “the instructors were friendly and supportive.” Check spelling and use a dictionary to confirm common word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to communicate several connected ideas, but sentence structures are mostly simple or run together, and errors are frequent enough to make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “Recently i complete my cookery course .that is my successfull experince” has problems with tense, sentence boundaries, and capitalisation; “they are many teachers that teach you” also has an incorrect sentence pattern. Verb forms and articles are often missing or inaccurate, as in “i learn to much skills” and “in this course they teach you.” Use past tense consistently for completed events (“I completed,” “I learned”), and divide long strings of ideas into complete sentences. Practising accurate simple sentences before adding longer clauses will improve clarity.
