Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: how money contributes to happiness and other factors that lead to fulfillment. The position is clear throughout. The ideas are relevant, though some development is slightly superficial. For instance, the explanation of how money provides freedom is logical, but the transition to the second body paragraph could be more nuanced. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more specific, real-world examples rather than general statements, as this would demonstrate a deeper exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Besides this', and 'To illustrate', which help the flow. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing (e.g., 'such individuals' in the second paragraph refers back to a group that was not explicitly defined). Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would enhance the overall cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'passionately', 'counterparts', and 'joyously'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'king human being' (likely a typo for 'kind') and 'makes person more happier' (which is grammatically redundant). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the precision is occasionally lacking. To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and proofreading for small spelling errors that can distract the reader from your otherwise clear arguments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'Not all things in life can be bought by money' (passive voice usage is slightly awkward here), 'a persons life' (missing apostrophe), and 'lifespan' (used incorrectly in context). Additionally, there are subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'numerous other things are there which makes person'. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on punctuation, specifically apostrophes and pluralization, will significantly improve your accuracy.
