Student answer (Band 7.0)
Many people believe money and happiness goes alongside and having a lot of money is the only way to be happy. No doubt being financially stable can bring joy, however it is not aways the case. Happiness can come from the different sources and the meaning can be varies from person to person.
One of the main reason is the luxury it provides. With the cash you can buy all the facilities and can eat anything without any hesitation irrespective of the price. Moreover, People can afford traveling to overseas which comes with exploring new cities, live in luxurious hotel rooms, buy expensive clothes and enjoy all amenities. All of these things makes a person happy.
Whereas, the meaning of happiness may changes person to person. Not only money but a quality time spend with family, a simple bike ride with friends to the town or having an ice cream with loved once can also bring that joy which no money can buy. For instance, we see so many financially deprived families and individuals who are happily living in their small one room and kitchen house rather than, isolated millionaires who lives like a robot. Furthermore, money does not guarantee the happiness and definition of happiness differ person to person.
In conclusion, definitely money is required to provide a certain lifestyle which makes people happy but that is not the only thing, spending time with loved once, outing with friends, and simple things that happens on a daily basis can also make people happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by discussing how money contributes to happiness and identifying alternative sources of joy. Your position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive; for instance, you mention that the definition of happiness varies from person to person in both the third and fourth paragraphs. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating previous ones. The examples provided, such as the comparison between isolated millionaires and happy families, are relevant and effectively support your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Whereas', and 'Furthermore' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as the phrase 'the meaning can be varies', which disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main aspects of the prompt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the logical progression between sentences is smoother and less repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'financially stable', 'amenities', and 'isolated'. However, there are several word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'money and happiness goes alongside' (should be 'go hand in hand') and 'loved once' (should be 'loved ones'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To achieve a higher score, focus on learning common collocations and proofreading for spelling errors like 'aways' instead of 'always'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the meaning can be varies', 'All of these things makes', 'definition of happiness differ') and incorrect word forms. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of your message. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and pluralization. Increasing your control over these basic structures will significantly enhance the clarity and professional tone of your writing.
