Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: how money contributes to happiness and other sources of happiness. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of 'laughter clubs' is brief and lacks depth. The position is clear, but the arguments could be more thoroughly extended with more specific examples or logical reasoning. The essay meets the minimum length requirement, but the overall depth of analysis is limited, which prevents it from reaching a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other side', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'One prospective that garner strength to the believe'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the flow of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'relation of money and happiness has no exception' instead of 'is no exception', and 'enormous money' instead of 'a large amount of money'. While the meaning is generally clear, the vocabulary is somewhat repetitive and lacks the precision required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('enormous money lead to', 'person can afford hiring') and article usage ('the happy life'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar structures occasionally distracts the reader. More attention to verb forms and singular/plural consistency is needed to improve accuracy.
