Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today’s inflated market, money has become important part of everyday life. We can’t imagine our daily activities without money. Life becomes easier and stress free when a person has more money. Although, money can provide all the tangible and intangible things to people, but still a human being needs more than just these things and that is emotions.
Finances are essential for healthy and balanced lifestyle for every individual. They can buy fresh products and ingredients to make their living healthy.
Individuals who loves to spend their money on houses, transportation and for future are building their lifestyle better. For example, when an individual buys a land, he can built his home there, can make a farm for freshly produce things which makes his living easier and healthy. But a poor financial person cannot buy everything, which makes him to live a normal lifestyle.
In addition to money, there are more important things for a human being for their well-being. A person can’t live happy with only money. A person is full of emotions, they need their family to live happily. For example, a man has everything like land, cars, big house but there are conflicts between him and his wife, which makes him unhappy after a long day. On the other hand, another person does not have a big house, cars and many other things as well, but his wife is with him, cooks simple meals but he is happy more than other person.
I believe that money can buy luxury lifestyle but cannot buy happiness. An individual needs many intangible things which cannot be exchanged with bills.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: how money contributes to happiness and other factors that influence well-being. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide examples like buying land or having family support, the arguments remain at a fairly basic level. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' behind your points with more sophisticated reasoning. For instance, instead of just saying money buys fresh products, you could discuss the psychological security that financial stability provides. The response is relevant, but the depth of analysis is consistent with a Band 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition to', 'For example', and 'On the other hand' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though some sentences within paragraphs could be better connected to improve the overall progression of the argument. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be more cohesive to guide the reader more smoothly through your points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'tangible', 'intangible', 'conflicts', and 'well-being'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'freshly produce things' (should be 'fresh produce') and 'poor financial person' (should be 'person with limited financial means'). You rely on fairly common vocabulary, and while your meaning is always clear, there is a lack of more sophisticated or idiomatic expressions that would elevate the response. The range is sufficient to communicate your ideas, but it does not show the flexibility required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While many sentences are clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Individuals who loves', 'he can built') and article usage ('an important part', 'a healthy and balanced lifestyle'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentence structures are slightly awkward, such as 'makes him to live a normal lifestyle'. These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tense usage.
