IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people say the main way to be happy in life is to have a lot of money. How might having a lot of money make people happy? What other things in life can make people happy?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Money seems to be the measure of happiness for most of the people around. They might acquire so much from the materials that could be bought from a lot of money like improvement in lifestyle, comfort and luxury for themselves and the families. However, as much as I believe in the phrase that money can buy the happiness, I do believe that some people looks for the other things as the source of pleasure like good health, peaceful relationships and skills that could not be optained by money.

The Idea of money related to happiness if quite true in many cases. Financial sustainability is most important to keep the home daily requirments fulfilled for the family and could help around if needed. Public do look up to comfortable and luxurious lifestyle choices which will come from major funds coming towards them. for instance, a father having good bugdet to enroll his son to the better school that will nourish the upbringing of the kid in a way that he ends up to be living a better and confident life.

On the other hand, people find joy in the other aspects of the life like staying thankful to be in a sound medical condition. While, some people priorities the relationship they hold more specious than having a lot of balance in the account. some have great joy in excelling in a skill like for example, a artist who do calligraphy may not be the one making a lot of money out of it but still his art form is giving him such a jya and satisfaction in life that a tuns of pounds could not have given him if he forced to be in a professional where he is not meeting the passion for art.

In the conclusion, a lot of money can make people happy by purchases whatever they aim to acquire but on the other hand some people prioraties passion, being healthy and wondeful relationships as a source of happiness.
