Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response begins to address both questions: it says money can make life “easy and luxury” and introduces the idea that there are other ways to be happy. However, the second question is not answered with any specific examples, and the explanation of how money brings happiness is limited to buying things and one brief reference to a report. The response also stops before developing a clear position or supporting its ideas with relevant detail. The required minimum of 250 words is not met; at 93 words, the response is substantially short, which leaves major parts of the task incomplete. To improve, explain several benefits of financial security and develop at least two non-financial sources of happiness with examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening introduces the topic, and “To commencing with” signals the start of a supporting point. The ideas are broadly related to the question, so the reader can follow the general direction. However, the response ends after one example, with no developed progression to the other part of the task or a conclusion. Some linking is also awkward: “However” suggests a contrast that is not clearly established, and “For example” introduces a report without explaining how its finding supports the point. Use separate paragraphs for the two questions, connect each example explicitly to its claim, and finish with a brief summary.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “high income,” “lifestyle,” and “luxury,” and the intended subject is generally understandable. However, the range is narrow and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “major concerned,” “make a life happy,” and “life balance and wealthy.” Spelling errors, including “througouts,” “modren,” and “mentio,” also reduce accuracy. These issues make the writing less clear and natural, although the main meaning can usually be inferred. Build a more precise set of expressions for financial security and non-material wellbeing, and check spelling and collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple statements and a longer example sentence, and its basic message is usually recoverable. However, grammatical control is inconsistent. For instance, “money become” needs subject–verb agreement, while “there a various other ways” is missing a verb. The phrase “With having a money human could buy” has problems with the sentence construction and article use, and “as compare to other” does not form a correct comparison. Most sentences are short or structurally simple, so there is little evidence of a controlled range of complex forms. Practise accurate present-tense clauses, articles, agreement, and comparative structures, then proofread each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
