Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: money can provide desired goods and meet basic needs, while family relationships and leisure time are presented as other sources of happiness. The examples about supporting a family and having enough to eat and wear are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that a wife feels happy because her husband can buy things is narrow, and the alternative sources of happiness are mentioned briefly rather than explained with a specific example. Your position is also not fully consistent: you first suggest money is the only key to happiness, then argue that other factors matter. Make your view clear from the introduction and explain how money contributes to happiness without presenting it as the sole cause.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about money, a contrasting paragraph about relationships, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “moreover,” “on the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some connections are mechanical or imprecise. For example, “Apart from this” introduces leisure time, but the relationship between spending time together and losing relationships could be explained more smoothly. The conclusion repeats the general point without bringing the two sides together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the claim it supports; also ensure references such as “that things” have an unmistakable meaning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “basic needs,” “quality of leisure time,” “under pressure,” and “crucial role.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Phrases such as “spend happy life,” “main factor to alive,” and “all the timing run for money” are difficult to interpret smoothly. There are also repeated uses of “money,” “happy,” and “people,” with few precise alternatives. Build a bank of natural expressions for discussing financial security, relationships, and wellbeing, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if they have enough money they can purchase whatever they want” and a contrast introduced by “although.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur throughout. Examples include “a husband have,” “his wife feels lucky,” and “although money is important for happiest life.” Some sentences also lack a clear grammatical structure, which can make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement and articles. Consistent capitalisation and full stops would also make sentence boundaries clearer.
