Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You communicate enthusiasm for Sidhu’s performance and mention that you play guitar, so the letter has relevant personal content. However, the task’s three points are not all clearly addressed: your feelings are expressed mainly as general excitement, your musical activities are limited to saying you play guitar, and the request for help is unclear. “I can help you with my guitar” suggests that you would help the singer, rather than asking him to support your musical activities. Explain what you do musically and make a specific request, such as asking for advice or a chance to discuss your playing. The response therefore addresses the task only partially, with ideas that remain limited and under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response contains related information about the concert, your admiration for the singer, and your guitar playing, and paragraph breaks provide some separation. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the concert and your excitement are repeated across the first three paragraphs, while your musical activities and request appear only at the end. Linking words such as “even” and “because” are used in ways that do not always show the intended relationship, and repeated references to “Sidhu” make the letter feel repetitive. Organise the letter around the three requested points, using one paragraph for your reaction, one for your musical activities, and one for your request. This would make the information easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use basic vocabulary that conveys your main enthusiasm, including “huge fan,” “excited,” and “crowd.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “concert,” “Sidhu,” and “very good.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “energentic” and “the whole concert was 2 hours show,” which make parts of the message less clear. Spelling errors such as “attented,” “wriiten,” and “guittar” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural expressions for describing a performance and musical experience, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain what specifically impressed you about the singer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “I was huge fan of sidhu even i attented all his concerts,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation. “I was recently attend attend” should use a past-tense form, while “everyone are” needs singular agreement. Missing articles appear in “I was huge fan,” and several sentences run together without appropriate capitalisation or punctuation. Practise forming accurate past-tense sentences and separating ideas into complete sentences. Greater control of these basic patterns would make your letter clearer and more natural.
