Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the concert and your admiration clearly, and the request for the singer to return to your city gives the letter a relevant purpose. However, the task asks for details of your own musical activities and help with those activities. Instead, you describe making videos and gaining followers, then ask the singer to perform at a New Year’s party. This does not explain what music you practise or perform, or what specific support you want for it. The response therefore covers the task only partially, with important points left undeveloped. To strengthen it, describe your musical involvement—for example, singing in a local group—and request practical help such as advice, a short lesson, or feedback.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: you introduce the concert, describe your reaction, and finish with a request. Paragraph breaks help separate these stages, and phrases such as “That’s why” and “Therefore” attempt to connect ideas. However, some links are unclear or mechanical: the connection between buying tickets, posting videos, and gaining followers is not fully explained, while “Which very a pleasant movement for me” is difficult to follow as a sentence. The final request also shifts from asking for help with your musical activities to asking for another concert. Make each paragraph develop one clear point and use references and linking phrases only where the relationship between ideas is explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary to express enthusiasm, including “big fan,” “live performance,” “followers,” and “likes,” so the reader can understand the general subject and your positive reaction. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the writing less natural, such as “concernt,” “pleasent movment,” “music activites,” and “performaning.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “your music activities was very energetics” does not clearly convey what you mean. Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing natural combinations, such as “your performance was energetic” or “I was thrilled by your performance.” More precise vocabulary for your own musical involvement would also help fulfil the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “I know you are very busy with the concerts but I would happy if you can make a few hours.” This shows an effort to express reasons and make a polite request, but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently. Examples include “I recently attended your a concert,” “The concert was an amazing,” and “I would really gratefull it if,” where articles, sentence structure, and verb forms are not controlled. Agreement is also problematic in “your music activites was.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with correct articles, subject–verb agreement, and conditional forms such as “I would be grateful if you could…”
