Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly expressed your feelings about the concert, provided details about your musical activities (listening to music and taking piano classes), and explained how you would like the singer to help you. However, the final request is slightly vague; while you ask him to 'produce more beautiful songs,' it does not fully connect to your specific goal of becoming a music director. To reach a higher band, ensure that your request is more specific or directly linked to your stated ambition. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a performer.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The letter follows a logical structure with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different requirements of the task. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover' and 'Besides,' which help the flow of ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the connection between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between your musical activities and the request for help could be more fluid. Overall, the message is easy to follow, and the progression of ideas is clear throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'inspire,' 'enthusiastic,' and 'relaxation.' There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'listing your music' (should be 'listening to') and 'give me a peace' (should be 'give me peace'). Additionally, 'a best selling artist' should be 'a best-selling artist.' While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and common collocations to reach a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'ever since it have created' (should be 'it has created') and 'always help people' (should be 'always helps people'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor issues with article usage and verb agreement. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the letter. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of present perfect tense when describing ongoing actions or interests.
