Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The letter covers all three bullet points: your feelings about the performance, your musical background, and your request for help. However, the first paragraph is quite disjointed and focuses heavily on the musician 'Mahir' rather than your personal reaction to the singer. The transition between the concert description and your own musical activities is abrupt. To improve, ensure that each bullet point is developed with a clear, logical flow and that the tone remains consistent throughout the letter. The response is relevant, but the development of ideas in the first half lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is divided into two paragraphs, which is a good start, but the internal structure of the first paragraph is weak. It consists of a series of short, choppy sentences that lack cohesive devices (e.g., 'the singer name is Neha kakar it is female singer'). There is a lack of logical progression, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. The second paragraph is much better, using transition words like 'Moreover' and 'If possible' to connect ideas. To improve, use more linking words such as 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'in addition' to create a smoother flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, such as 'grateful,' 'technique,' and 'confidence.' However, there are several errors in word choice and phrasing, such as 'one problem in her musician' and 'many musical activities are there.' These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. You rely on basic sentence structures and simple vocabulary. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing. For example, instead of saying 'very good,' use more descriptive adjectives to express your enthusiasm for the performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with punctuation, capitalization, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the singer name is,' 'one people playing guitar'). Run-on sentences and missing full stops make the text harder to read. While the second paragraph shows a better grasp of complex structures, the overall accuracy is inconsistent. Focus on proofreading your work to ensure that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and pay closer attention to basic punctuation rules to improve the clarity of your writing.
