Dear karan aujla,

I am glad to get a chance to attend your concert in Toronto, it was great and that was first live music concert of my life, I felt overwhelmed by all the vibes of the show and your energy was amazing. Moreover the song you performed named as winning speech is one of my favourite song.

I would love to attend your concert again in Toronto, when are you coming back? Not only me who enjoyed this concert even I shared video or photos with my parents too they was impressed by looking at your performance , I wish you upload all concert photos and videos on your instagram account so any time I can go and look at them and feel the vibe of the concert forever as it was really unforgettable.

Lots of love and support, keep it up brother.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

You have addressed the first bullet point regarding your feelings about the concert well. However, you have failed to address the second and third bullet points. The prompt explicitly asks you to 'give details of your musical activities' and 'explain how you would like him to help you with your musical activities'. Your letter focuses entirely on the concert experience and your desire for photos, ignoring these two requirements. To improve, ensure you read the prompt carefully and dedicate at least one paragraph to each bullet point to ensure all parts of the task are fully covered.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is generally easy to follow, but the paragraphing is insufficient. You have only two paragraphs, and the transition between the concert experience and the request for photos is somewhat abrupt. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Not only me', the overall flow is hindered by the lack of clear structure regarding the specific requirements of the task. Using more varied linking words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, distinct idea would significantly improve the logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it remains quite basic. Phrases like 'very good', 'amazing', and 'great' are repetitive and lack the precision expected at higher bands. You have attempted some topic-specific vocabulary such as 'live music concert' and 'performance', which is positive. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated adjectives and collocations to describe your emotions and musical interests. For example, instead of saying 'I felt overwhelmed', you could use 'I was captivated by the atmosphere'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are several grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. You have issues with run-on sentences, such as 'I am glad to get a chance to attend your concert in Toronto, it was great and that was first live music concert of my life'. Additionally, there are errors in subject-verb agreement, such as 'they was impressed'. While you use some complex structures, they are often punctuated incorrectly. Focusing on sentence boundaries and ensuring subject-verb agreement will help you achieve a higher score.
