Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly express your feelings about the concert, describe your musical activities, and make a specific request for help. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a performer, although the request to promote your content on his social media is a bit abrupt. To improve, ensure that the transition between your personal musical activities and the request for help is more fluid. The ideas are relevant and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'however' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced, such as the sudden shift in the final paragraph. The use of referencing is generally clear, though the punctuation in the opening and closing sections needs more attention to ensure a smoother flow between sentences. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using phrases like 'over the moon' and 'world class'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'making a few contents' (should be 'creating content') and 'got better reach' (should be 'gain better reach'). There are also minor errors in phrasing, such as 'listening you' instead of 'listening to you'. Expanding your range to include more precise collocations would help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'I am writing you to share' (should be 'writing to you'), 'singer now a days' (should be 'singer nowadays'), and 'your upcoming music' (should be 'your upcoming musical projects'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and the capitalization of 'You' in the middle of a sentence. These errors do not impede communication but occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band score.
