Dear Pam Sidhu,
I hope you are doing well and enjoying this summer.I'm writingthis letter to let you know thatI was at the concert on 30th September and when you started singing, everyone in the crowd went crazy. Even without the autotune, you performed fabulous. There were hundreds of artist However, it was only one person who seek my attention. You really have a great potential.
I am a music director and I have build music for numerous singers. I really appreciate your singing but I noticed that, you could do even better if you have guidance from a professional music artist.I was 15 years old when I did my first song . I would like to collaborate with you. I built a software called auto tuning which plays a significant role while singing and push to achieve better results.I would love to hear back from you.
Your faithfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You successfully cover all parts of the prompt by explaining how you feel about the performance, giving details of your musical activities, and stating how you would like the singer to help you. However, some areas are more fully developed than others. For example, while your feelings about the concert are clearly stated when you mention that 'everyone in the crowd went crazy' and that the singer performed fabulously, your musical background and the request for collaboration are somewhat under-developed and briefly touched upon. To move to a higher level, you should extend these ideas by providing more specific context about your music directing background and elaborating further on the exact nature of the software and the collaboration you have in mind.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your letter shows a coherent overall arrangement with a clear beginning and greeting, and ideas are grouped logically into paragraphs, with the first paragraph focusing on the concert and performance, and the second focusing on your musical background and software. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. For instance, the transition 'There were hundreds of artist However, it was only one person who seek my attention' lacks smooth linking and contains punctuation issues. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the sudden shift when introducing your software. To improve cohesion, you should use a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure your sentences flow together seamlessly without abrupt transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and successfully attempt less common words and phrases, such as 'music director' and 'significant role'. However, there are some noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, form, and spelling. For instance, writing 'performed fabulous' instead of 'fabulously', 'artist' instead of 'artists', 'seek' instead of 'sought', and 'build' instead of 'built'. You also wrote 'auto tuning' as a two-word phrase rather than autotune. These errors do not impede communication, but to reach a higher band, you need to use less common lexical items with greater precision and maintain tighter control over word formation and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You manage to use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I'm writing this letter to let you know that I was at the concert...' and 'I noticed that you could do even better if you have guidance...'. However, there are some errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text. Examples include tense inconsistencies and verb form errors such as 'I have build' instead of 'built', article omissions like 'if you have guidance', and punctuation errors such as missing spaces after commas and periods, for example, in 'summer.I'm' and 'letter to let'. Although these errors rarely impede communication, achieving a higher band requires greater accuracy across a wider variety of complex structures and better control over punctuation.
