Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You address the concert and express admiration, saying the performance was “amazing” and that the singer inspires you. You also mention listening to his music and attending the show with friends. However, the task’s three points are not all adequately covered: your musical activities are described mainly as listening, and you do not explain what help you want from the singer. The letter therefore responds only partially, with limited development of its ideas. Add specific details about an activity you do, such as singing or playing an instrument, then make a clear request—for example, advice, a lesson, or feedback on your performance. This would make the purpose of the letter much clearer.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a basic letter structure, with an opening, several paragraphs, and a closing. The paragraphs broadly move from your reaction to the concert to your interest in the singer’s music, so the reader can follow the general topic. However, the progression is repetitive: the ideas that you are happy to see him and enjoy his music appear several times, while the requested help is not included. Connections between sentences are also sometimes unclear, as in “I writing a letter to mainly your music.” Organise the letter around the three required points, giving each a clear place, and use simple links such as “I also” or “Because of this” only where they show a real connection.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary to convey enthusiasm, including “amazing,” “fan,” “positive vibe,” and “live show.” These choices make your admiration understandable, and you attempt to describe the effect of the music on your mood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message less natural, such as “currently proformance,” “inspaire,” “supper,” and “corries.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “happy to see in reality face.” Build a more accurate range for describing a concert and musical interests, and check spelling and collocations. For example, “I was delighted to see you perform live” expresses the intended meaning more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate mainly through simple sentences, and some basic sentence patterns are understandable, such as “My name is Harmandeep Kaur” and “I live in Ludhiana.” However, control of verb forms and sentence construction is inconsistent. Examples include “I writing to a letter,” “some individuals and communities are enjoy,” and “Your music are always help me.” These errors make several sentences difficult to interpret, although the overall message can still be followed. Practise forming complete clauses with a subject and correctly conjugated verb—for instance, “I am writing to tell you…” and “Your music always helps me.” Then try combining ideas with accurate conjunctions to show a wider range of sentence structures.
