Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you praise the singer’s performance, describe your own musical activities, and ask for help. The response gives relevant details, such as playing guitar and drums and taking part in school singing competitions. Your admiration is also clear in the description of the concert’s emotional effect. However, the request for assistance is more developed than the account of your musical activities: you could explain how often you practise or what kind of music you perform. The request could also be more specific—for example, asking for a lesson or advice on vocal technique. These details would make the letter’s purpose and ideas more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a recognisable structure, moving from praise to your musical background and then to your request. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these main stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Also” show an effort to connect ideas. At times, however, the connections feel mechanical or unclear. “Primarily” does not naturally introduce the praise, while “which results they became huge fan” makes the relationship between the singer’s voice and the audience’s reaction difficult to follow. The final request and closing are also crowded together. Use simpler links where appropriate and make each paragraph focus on one clear purpose to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of expressive vocabulary, including “melodious,” “depicting,” “diligent,” and “polished,” which helps convey admiration and ambition. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “left a print on people’s hearts,” “constructive at playing,” and “god gifted voice.” Spelling errors—including “trememdous,” “imressed,” and “succesful”—also reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. The intended meaning is generally understandable, but these noticeable errors sometimes make the reader pause. Focus on learning natural word partnerships and checking spelling; precise, familiar expressions will be more effective than ambitious wording used inaccurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a sentence beginning “I just want to request you to give few tips…” and one using “which assist me.” However, control is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “My aim of writing this letter just to appreciate” is missing a main verb, and “all emotions and feelings was depicting” has problems with verb form and agreement. In “I am lookig forward to get,” the verb pattern is also incorrect. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and verb patterns before adding longer clauses.
