Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you praise the singer’s live performance, mention that you are a singer, and ask for guidance. Details such as the garba concert in Kitchener and the song “Khama Khama” make the praise personal and relevant. However, the musical activities you do yourself are only briefly described, and the request for help is not specific: you mention difficulty connecting lyrics, but do not explain what kind of guidance or support you hope to receive. Develop these points with a little more detail—for example, describe your singing practice or ask for advice on phrasing lyrics and arranging songs. This would make the letter’s purpose more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall shape: it opens with the reason for writing, moves to praise, then explains your musical interest and closes politely. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and expressions such as “Apart from this” and “Thank you” guide the reader. Some links are awkward or unclear, however. “Watching you performance was good experience” repeats the praise without smoothly connecting it to your request, while the long sentence beginning “all the people in our concerts” combines several ideas and is difficult to follow. Use shorter sentences and clearer transitions, and make references such as “it” explicit. This would make the progression more natural and cohesion less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “concert,” “voice tone,” “lyrics,” “singer,” and “guidance,” and the references to garba and a particular song add specificity. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable throughout, including “writting,” “resent,” “musice,” “unforgettabke,” and “perfomance.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “enjoyment level” and “enjoyed it very well,” which can make the message less clear. Choose familiar, accurate expressions rather than attempting awkward phrasing: for example, say that you “thoroughly enjoyed” the concert and that the performance was “unforgettable.” Careful proofreading would improve clarity and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand the main message. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “all the people … was not able” should use a plural verb, and “I was in you resent concert” does not form a clear grammatical sentence. The request sentence, “if I get your help then I can improve it,” also needs clearer punctuation and a more precise reference for “it.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, then combine them with conjunctions where appropriate. More reliable control of these patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
