Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points in the prompt: you praise the singer’s performance, describe your interest in singing, and ask for guidance through a workshop or personal lessons. The account of hearing “ALL IS WELL” and feeling your worries ease gives the praise a personal detail. However, your musical activities are not explained very fully: you mention being an aspiring singer but give little information about what you currently do, such as how often you practise or whether you perform. The request for help is clear, though it could be more specific about the skills you want to develop. Overall, the letter fulfils the task, but some points are less developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for your reaction and musical interests, and a polite closing. This makes the main purpose easy to follow. The progression is generally logical, moving from praise to your own interest and then to a request for help. Some connections are less clear, however: “I also going to tell about your musical activity” introduces a point about the singer rather than your own activities, and the relationship between the concert description and your musical experience could be signposted more smoothly. The repeated use of “I” also makes parts feel list-like. Clearer topic sentences and more precise links between ideas would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant words to express admiration and musical interest, including “outstanding performance,” “melodious,” “collaboration,” and “singing technique.” These choices help communicate your enthusiasm and request. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, for example “exprees,” “collboration,” “lession,” and “apportunity.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “your every song” and “collaboration between rhythm and sound effect.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “every one of your songs” and “the way rhythm and sound effects work together.” Proofreading spelling and checking collocations would make your vocabulary more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, and the meaning is usually recoverable. The sentence beginning “If possible, I would love to attend…” is a clear conditional request, and you use past-tense narration to describe the concert. Some grammatical errors remain, including “I am writing this letter to tell you about that I am so impressed,” “I attended your live concert tomorrow night,” and “I also going to tell.” These involve sentence construction and tense or verb-form control. There are also missing articles and prepositions, as in “at that time” and “listen your song.” More consistent control of verb forms and sentence patterns, alongside careful proofreading, would make the letter smoother.
