Your singing was truly amazing and every song touched my heart. Moreover, your confidence and stage presence made the concert even more enjoyable. It was one of the best musical experiences i have ever has, and I would love to attend your concerts again in the future.
I am also interested in music and have been learing singing for the past two years. I regularly practice at home and participate in musical activities at my college. Recently, I performed at a college function, where I received positive feedback from my teachers and friends.
Therefore, I would be extremely grateful if you could guide me in improving in singing skills. If possible, I would love to attend one of your music workshops or receive some useful tips from you.
Thank you for inspiring young music loves like me. I look forword to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
You address all three points clearly: you praise the singer’s voice and stage presence, describe your singing lessons and college performance, and ask for guidance, workshop access, or useful tips. The details about practising for two years and performing at a college function make your musical activities specific, while the appreciative tone suits a letter to a performer. Your request is understandable and relevant, though it could be developed further by explaining what kind of guidance would be most useful, such as feedback on technique or advice about performing. The greeting “Dear sir” is rather formal and impersonal for writing directly to a singer; using his name, if known, would make the letter feel more appropriately personal.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression: appreciation, your own musical background, a request for help, and a polite closing. Paragraphing supports this sequence, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Therefore” help show how the ideas relate. The reader can follow the message without difficulty. To make the organisation more natural and cohesive, avoid relying on formal connectors where the relationship is already clear; “Therefore” before the request feels slightly mechanical. You could also connect the description of your college performance more directly to the help you want, so the request follows smoothly from your experience rather than appearing as a separate point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some suitable expressive language, including “melodious voice,” “stage presence,” “positive feedback,” and “inspiring,” which helps convey admiration and interest in music. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce the accuracy and naturalness of the vocabulary: “attented,” “extemely,” “learing,” “loves,” and “look forword” should be corrected. There are also awkward phrases such as “improving in singing skills” and “musical experiences I have ever has.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, but they show that vocabulary and word forms are not yet consistently controlled. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing singing and musical development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more developed sentences, including “If possible, I would love to attend one of your music workshops or receive some useful tips from you.” Most of the message remains understandable, but several grammatical errors affect accuracy. In “they were you entertained the audience,” the clause structure is faulty; a clear version would be “you entertained the audience throughout the event.” The sentence “It was one of the best musical experiences I have ever has” also has an incorrect verb form; use “I have ever had.” In addition, “improving in singing skills” needs a possessive determiner and a more suitable pattern, such as “improving my singing skills.” Practise checking clause structure and verb forms.
