Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you praise the singer’s performance, describe your experience as a guitarist, and invite him to perform with your group. The details about playing since your teenage years and performing in major cities make your musical background relevant. This covers the task well, but some ideas are not fully developed: for example, you do not explain what kind of help or collaboration you hope for beyond asking him to perform, or give practical details about the group’s concerts. The response is also six words below the required minimum, so add a little more relevant detail. A fuller explanation of the proposed collaboration would make the letter more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear overall progression: you open with the concert, move to your own musical experience, make a request, and close by inviting a reply. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and the reader can follow your purpose throughout. Some links between ideas are quite abrupt, however. For instance, the move from praising the singer to describing your own concert experience could be connected more explicitly, and the final request to meet could explain what you would discuss. The opening paragraph also combines several ideas in one sentence. Use a few more natural transitions and develop the links between your background and your proposal to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use a suitable range of vocabulary for a personal letter, including expressive choices such as “vibrant,” “mesmerizing,” and “incredible opportunity.” These help convey enthusiasm and make the purpose clear. There are also some inaccurate or unnatural choices that limit precision: “persued me to write” does not express the intended meaning, “much experienced” is awkward, and “your potentials” is not the natural form in this context. Spelling and spacing also need attention, as in “wellknown” and “doing well.Recently.” Aim for accurate collocations and check word forms and spelling; this will help your vocabulary sound more natural while retaining its positive tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex forms, including “Being a guitar player since a teenager” and the conditional idea in “I think due to your potentials, our concerts will certainly turned out as successful.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “will certainly turned out” should use the base verb after “will,” and “I would appreciate if you can perform” needs a more suitable conditional structure. The opening also needs a space after the full stop. Review tense and verb patterns, and check articles and punctuation when editing; more accurate control of these forms would strengthen the letter.
