Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You clearly express enthusiasm for the singer’s performance, describing it as “mind blowing” and saying you and your friends enjoyed the concert. You also mention making videos and reels, which gives some detail about your musical activities. However, the task’s third point is not adequately addressed: asking the singer to return for another concert is not the same as explaining how he could help with your own musical activities. Your letter also gives little information about what you do musically, beyond recording content. As a result, the response only minimally fulfils the full purpose of the task. Explain your activities more specifically and make a direct, practical request, such as asking for advice, a workshop, or feedback on your singing or playing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable opening, several body paragraphs, and a closing, and the ideas generally relate to the concert. Connectors such as “Firstly,” “In addition,” and “In the end” help signal movement between points. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph combines praise, videos, musical styles, and emotional reactions, while the final paragraph shifts between requesting another concert and referring to an album. Some linking phrases are awkward or repetitive, and references such as “your team” and “we all” can make it unclear who is doing what. Group the performance comments together, then describe your own musical activities and make your request in a separate, focused paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some expressive language to convey excitement, including “mind blowing performance,” “retro music,” and “making best memories.” These choices show an attempt to communicate personal enthusiasm, but the vocabulary is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “lyrisc,” “exicetment,” and “collabrating all teast of music.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “capturing all moment with you for a life” and “give us more memories for your album song.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for your own musical activities—such as rehearsing, performing, or learning an instrument—would also help you explain the task more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when describing how you and your friends responded to the concert. However, these sentences are often difficult to follow because of frequent problems with sentence boundaries, verb forms, agreement, and articles. Examples include “it's was just very Enjoyble night” and “you're music team is gave mind blowing performance.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several ideas joined together without clear sentence breaks. These errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning, so the range of structures remains limited in practice. Build accuracy with short, complete sentences first, then add one clear subordinate clause at a time; check subject–verb agreement and use apostrophes correctly for “your” and “you’re.”
