Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you praise the singer’s performance, mention your musical background, and ask for help releasing your song through his company. The reaction that the audience was “feeling over the moon” gives some detail about your response, and mentioning that he judged a show you won makes the request personal. However, your musical activities are only briefly described, and the request is not fully clear: explain what support you want (for example, feedback, a meeting, or help with promotion) and what you expect from the release. The opening “Dear sir/madam” is also impersonal for a letter to a singer whose performance you attended. Develop these details to make the purpose and request more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: you introduce your reason for writing, describe the performance, give background about your musical ambitions, and make a request. Paragraphing helps separate these stages, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “In addition to this” show how the ideas relate. This coherent arrangement meets the lower-band expectations, while the range of linking devices shows some flexibility. At times, though, transitions feel mechanical, and references are not always smooth: “As i mentioned before” repeats an earlier point, while “your team is wonderful pathway” does not clearly connect your background to the specific help requested. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “outstanding,” “pursue my career,” “audience,” and “assistance,” and the reader can understand your main message. There are also attempts at expressive language, such as “over the moon.” However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce accuracy: “permformace,” “statium,” “carrier,” and “release of my new song” (where you may mean help releasing or promoting it). “Wonderful pathway” is also an awkward collocation. Check spelling carefully and choose phrases that express the exact support you want. A more precise range of music-related terms would make the letter sound more natural and convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “when you started singing” and “As it would help me to reach audience fast.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “your team is wonderful pathway” needs an article, and “you and your team is” has a subject–verb agreement problem. “As it would help me…” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, while “I look forward to hearing back from you soon.An open line…” needs clearer punctuation. Capitalise “I” consistently and review articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. These corrections would improve control without sacrificing your attempts at longer structures.
