Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5

The letter clearly addresses all three requested points. You express strong appreciation, especially by saying that “every song you performed touched my heart,” and you describe your own activities, including singing Punjabi and Hindi songs and taking part in cultural events. You also make a specific request for guidance, mentioning a workshop or personal advice. These details make the purpose clear and the ideas are extended with relevant examples. To develop the response further, explain more precisely what kind of guidance you need—for example, help with vocal technique or preparing for performances—and make the request slightly more personal. The friendly tone and appropriate letter format support the task well; a few awkward expressions do not prevent the message from being understood.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter follows a clear progression: appreciation of the concert, details about your musical interests, a request for help, and a polite closing. Paragraphing separates these purposes effectively, and linking expressions such as “In particular,” “Moreover,” and “If possible” help guide the reader. The sequence is easy to follow, although some connections feel mechanical because several sentences begin with “I” or “I would.” The opening paragraph also runs several ideas together, making the praise less smooth than it could be. Use sentence boundaries more carefully and vary how you introduce related details. Overall, the organisation is logical and the reader can follow the message without difficulty.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “performance,” “atmosphere,” “cultural events,” and “improving my singing skills.” These choices communicate your enthusiasm and musical interests. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable throughout, including “apprecation,” “audiance,” “activies,” and “imspiring.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “I was fully admired by youre singing” and “inrole one of youre music workshop,” which reduce precision. Build a reliable set of expressions for praise and requests, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting. More accurate phrasing would make your positive tone sound more natural and polished.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mixture of simple sentences and longer structures, including “I would be grateful if you could guide me” and the conditional request beginning “If possible.” This gives the letter some variety, and the main message remains understandable. However, errors in tense, articles, sentence boundaries, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect fluency. For example, “the concert that i attend at last week” has an incorrect verb form and unnecessary preposition, while “it was really an memorable moment” has an article error. The opening sentence also joins several clauses without clear punctuation. Practise accurate past-tense forms and review articles and punctuation; then check each sentence for a complete, clearly separated structure.
